What's different about the MORE Turkey Challenge than all the other Turkey competitions that have come and gone throughout the years?

It’s the first of it’s kind for several reasons, but I will name the two biggest factors:

• It’s has the largest payout of any Turkey Competition that I know.

• It’s the fist of its kind that I know of that lets all hunters hunt on their own properties and in any legal way that they want to. To win, you aren’t going to have to travel, hunt with anyone else, OR get stuck on some property that you know nothing about that might or might not even have a bird on it.

How does the scoring work?

NWTF rules will apply to all birds that are entered:  1 times weight + 2 times the LONGEST Beard hair and Ten times both spurs.  All weights are to the ounce and all lengths are the nearest 1/16".

How many times can I enter each Division?

Hunters may purchase as many entries as they want as long as spaces are available in the Merriam, Rio and Eastern Divisions. Because Florida only allows hunters to harvest 2 spring Osceolas, Hunters will only be allowed to enter twice in the Osceola and Grand Slam Divisions.

What happens to the money IF there’s a tie?

Lets say that 2 hunters tie for 3rd place.  The money from 3rd and 4th place would be added, split in ½, and equally dispersed to those 2 hunters.

How do I trust that MORE Turkeys and Jeff Budz are legit and not going to steal my money?

All I can say is that in over 35 years in the outdoor world, there hasn’t been a single negative review or complaint against me. You can Google my name and find numerous articles highlighting my achievements in the turkey hunting world about my ~117 personal Grand Slams, Self Guided Super Slam and more. My Family nor myself will be allowed to participate in the MORE Challenge, but I hope you'll trust me and be part of the biggest prize-winning turkey competition ever!

What do I need to do to sign up?

Purchase your entries here, which will have you register on the MORE Turkeys website. You'll have a bird submission link once logged in.

How does the lie detector work?

I have retained a credible company to administer a virtual lie detector to all money winners.  I will be on each call watching each question being administered.   There will only be a few questions asked several different ways for us to get the results that we are after.  IF a hunter fails, they will be given another lie detector test.  IF they fail the second test, that hunter will be disqualified and never be allowed to enter another MORE Turkeys Challenge. 

What if I don’t have cell service when I harvest my bird?

You don’t need cell service to video or pictures of your bird or your location, ALL with relatively the same timestamp on them.  You do need to get back to cell service to register your bird within the 4-hour cutoff time.

Does the MORE Challenge accept Hybrid Turkeys?

How does anyone know who's winning throughout the season?

After logging onto the More Turkeys website and purchasing an entry, you'll see the competition dashboard available! Once the time is up, join us at the live awards on June 21st, 2026!
